Hazel Merrilees – Paralegal

Hazel joined Mitchells Roberton in late 2017 (after a merger with the long established firm of Kerr Barrie). She joined Kerr Barrie in August 1976 initially as a Receptionist then worked as a Secretary for the Accountant. She had a flair for working with figures and became involved in the preparation of Trust Accounts. She also trained to work in the Cash Department becoming a Member of the Society of Law Accountants in Scotland in 1995 and in 1997 took over the running of the Cash Department.

Over time Hazel became involved in the administration of Executries and in 2000 also qualified as a Paralegal in Wills, Trusts and Executries.

Hazel has recently joined our Guardianship Department and aims to put her wealth of knowledge and experience to good use. She is very conscientious and adaptable in all respects and believes in maintaining the clients’ welfare at all times.

Hazel is married with two children. She likes going to the theatre, mainly musicals, attending concerts, reading, travelling, swimming, visiting the gym and also enjoys socialising with family and friends.
