Robbie has many years’ experience in Scottish legal practice having started in the mid ‘70s as an apprentice then company lawyer with the firm of Bird Semple and Crawford Herron. Early in his career he transferred into the area of property law and for over 25 years was with Pinsent Masons (formerly McGrigors).
Over the years Robbie has handled a wide range of commercial and residential property transactions, acting for individual and corporate purchasers, vendors and mortgagors/mortgagees of commercial and housebuilding properties of all sizes and types as well as residential properties.
Robbie has tutored on various university Diploma in Profession Legal Practice courses over the years and was external examiner for the property law course for one of the Scottish universities.
He is co-author of “The Lands Tribunal For Scotland: Law & Practice” (Sweet & Maxwell, 2012).
He has completed several marathons, most recently the Strathearn Marathon 2021, although finishing times are gradually reflecting the passage of time.
Robbie is a member and a past President of Partick Curling Club (instituted 1842).
