The firm is very pleased to announce that William Grant, one of the firm’s Consultants, has co-authored, with James Kessler QC, a new book “Drafting Trusts and Will Trusts in Scotland: A Modern Approach”. This was published by W Green in December 2013 and was launched at a seminar in the Faculty of Advocates’ Mackenzie Building in Edinburgh last Tuesday (4th February 2014).

The event was co-hosted by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (“STEP”) and Greens, the publishers. The co-authors were joined by Lord Drummond Young (the Consultant for the Scottish Law Commission Trusts Law Review project) and Lord Tyre (who wrote the foreword for the book) each of whom also gave an address. Lord Tyre (who, in his foreword to the book described it as  “a milestone in the expression and development of Scots trust law”) commended the publication of the book and encouraged those there to buy it. Happily, the firm did not need to do so having already been presented with a copy by its in-house author! The firm’s copy is already well-thumbed. For those who wish to read more here is a link to the address given by William Grant at the launch:-
